Morrison Hershfield is excited to announce that Dean Kemper, P.Eng., has joined our Transportation and Structures team as Senior Project Manager/Business Development Manager.
Dean has over 35 years of experience in the public sector. He spent three years with the B.C. Ministry of Highways in Prince George and over 32 years with the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO). Dean’s main focus over the last few years has been working on major, multidisciplinary AFP projects including the 407 East and the Highway 427 and Highway 401 Expansion projects.
“We are delighted to have Dean join our team,” said Jim Weir, Senior Vice President, Transportation and Structures. “Dean brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the public sector, providing a unique perspective from one of Morrison Hershfield’s main clients, MTO.”
Dean has been involved with numerous complex projects during his time at MTO, including:
- Intersection improvements.
- Highway widening.
- Freeway expansion and rehabilitation.
- Route planning EAs.
- Preliminary Designs.
He has extensive experience working with local municipalities, approving agencies, utility companies, property owners and key stakeholders. Dean will be working closely with key members of our Transportation team, engaging with our clients and providing project management services on existing and upcoming transportation projects. Dean is a great mentor, and we look forward to his leadership, guidance and support.
