Autism Ontario is the province’s leading source of information and referral on autism and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. The organization and its chapters are dedicated to increasing public awareness by providing information and education, supporting research, and advocating for programs and services for the autism community.
Over a three month period, a number of fundraisers were organized, including a “Vending Machine” Fundraiser, a “Change it up” Fundraiser (that had everyone checking their coat pockets and the bottom of their work bags for loose change), numerous raffles (for flowers, sporting event tickets and gift baskets), a 50/50 draw and a donation box set up for the duration of the fundraising event.
With the generous support of staff, almost $2000 was donated to Autism Ontario.
