The event is run by volunteers on behalf of Shield Bearer, a Houston-based non-profit organization with the mission of providing help and hope for hurting hearts.  They rely heavily on community support and business contributions to ensure the success of events such as this to offset the costs of running their programs.

Morrison Hershfield’s Houston office of has been aware of the work done by Shield Bearer and their founders and leaders for many years. Their counseling work is a widely-utilized and important community service.

Office manager Russ Raymond explained that “Running for Hearts is a fun event for staff and their families to participate in.  We encourage staff to make meaningful contributions to our community – through both work and play!  This event gave us the opportunity to have a little fun together outside of the office while benefitting a great cause.”

Morrison Hershfield works diligently to build strong community relationships through volunteering and supporting local events.  Way to go Houston!
