March 8th is International Women's Day. It celebrates women's achievements and recognizes progress towards a more gender-equal world. The theme this year is "Each for Equal" which is all about collective individualism and understanding that while everyone is different, collectively we can come together to take action for equality. This is something that Morrison Hershfield believes deeply as we continue to make efforts towards a more gender-balanced environment both in our offices and in the industries which we participate.
In recognition of International Women in Engineering Day, we want to highlight the importance of the 30 by 30 initiative. Increasing the percentage of newly licensed female engineers to 30 percent by 2030 will require consistent and constant attention to the issues that have caused the gender imbalance in the engineering profession.
Data center professionals gathered at The National Club in Toronto on May 7th to learn more about improving gender diversity in the data center industry. The breakfast seminar event was co-hosted by Morrison Hershfield and AFCOM, and sponsored by CommScope, EllisDon and Plan Group.
