The guide aims to overcome obstacles confronting industry with respect to mitigating thermal bridging to reduce energy consumption in buildings.

The new low-level North Channel Bridge, The Seaway International Bridge Corporation (SIBC) Toll Plaza and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Plaza in Cornwall were officially opened on January 24, 2014 at 7:00 am by representatives from various partners, including, the Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL), SIBC, CBSA, Transport Canada, Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and the City of Cornwall. Morrison Hershfield has been providing Contract Administration services to FBCL since 2011 on these projects.

The award honours the memory of Anthony (Tony) Woods, a Past President of OBEC who realized that the 'industry' of research, design, construction and rehabilitation of the building envelope did not have a way to recognize the contribution of its members.

Construction is underway on a new artificial turf athletic field at the Edge School for Athletes in Springbank, AB. Morrison Hershfield completed site engineering, master-planning and an upgrade of the school’s existing soccer/football facility from a natural turf field to the “latest in technological development” artificial turf field. Working together with the manufacturer, a first-in-class sports field facility was created using FieldTurf’s newest product “Revolution”. FieldTurf Revolution was selected to ensure the delivery of a high performance field using a product with a proven history of success. The design of the field incorporates the Edge School logos at center field and in the endzones.

The Brant Street Pier in Burlington, ON was officially opened by representatives of the three levels of federal, provincial and municipal government officials on June 14, 2013, followed by an official public opening on June 15 … just in time for the 2013 Sound of Music Festival.
Morrison Hershfield has scored three 2013 Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) awards, two in BC and one in Ontario. The regional awards, presented every two years, celebrate outstanding achievements in steel construction and are presented in three categories for projects demonstrating ingenuity in Architecture, Engineering and Sustainability. Morrison Hershfield took home an award in each of these categories.
