Benefits of the Mayo River Flood Control Project
The Mayo River Flood Control Project has significantly contributed to protecting the Village of Mayo against adverse effects related to winter flooding on the River. It has provided future recreational opportunities near the lower Mayo River, allowing access to this natural area for residents. New trails now give residents the ability to enjoy this natural setting along the river.

On Saturday, April 16th, 2016 Consulting Engineers of Ontario (CEO) presented Morrison Hershfield with an Award of Excellence for Robinson Place Ontario Government Building. The CEO Awards are given to firms whose projects have contributed to improving Ontario’s social, economic and environmental well-being. Robinson Place was the first government building in Canada to achieve LEED® EB:O&M Platinum (LEED EBOM).
